Ayr Tips: Green Park

Handles the ground and last two runs suggest he’s a horse at the top of his game.

The going is described as ‘soft’ for the 3.10 Ayr and although a GoingStick reading of 8.3 isn’t dreadful, heavy showers forecast for the afternoon could make the going testing.

This won’t be a problem for Green Park who’s won three times on heavy ground. He is a largely consistent sprinter with his best form on sharp tracks like Ayr.

He’s looked in top form on his last two starts, finishing second at Chester from a difficult draw and finishing 6th in the Ayr Bronze Cup, second best of those who raced on the stand’s side.

Sam Nombulist should set-up the decent gallop he needs, and of the hold-up horses, Green Park is a far stronger betting proposition than the favourite, Defence Council, who only has 1 win in 31 starts.
