Ascot Tips: Street Power
Course and distance winner and back to form on his last three runs.
After a year plagued by niggling injuries, Street Power is back to his best this spring and can mark his return to form with a win in the 5.10 Ascot.
A winner on the all-weather in March, he has been unlucky not to follow up in his subsequent runs. Last time out at Kempton he got himself too far back off a slow pace and although he made excellent headway in the straight, the race was over. He is a horse that needs to be held-up off a fast pace, which he should get today.
Previously successful off a mark of 88, an injury beset 2011 has seen him plummet down the handicap. Today he races off a turf mark of 73, the last time he was off such a low mark he won a 6f race at Ascot.
Returning to course and distance, at 7/1 (Paddy Power) he looks a good bet to win again.
