Ascot Tips: Sohraab
Has run well despite the soft ground and a big player now the it has dried up.
The 2.55 Ascot is an extremely valuable sprint handicap and we have the unusual situation of the going described as ‘firm’. This is excellent news for Sohraab who is normally ground dependant.

A 5f specialist, he has struggled to get his conditions because of the wet summer. At York in June he ran a cracker to finish third, beaten 0.5 lengths on unsuitable soft ground. The one time he did get his ground, at Epsom on Derby Day, he was badly hampered and his race was ruined.
On Ascot’s wide straight there should be fewer traffic problems and at 25/1 (Bet365) he should run considerably better than his odds suggest.
