Ascot Tips: Ahtoug
Has done all his winning at 5f and drops back in trip after struggling over further.

As for the racing the 2.05 Ascot looks the best betting race of the day. The field is evenly matched, but with Judge’N’Jury likely to set a blistering gallop it should set up for the closers.
Ahtoug looked a useful sprinter last year but the strategy of running him over 6f hasn’t paid off. The four-year-old is 3/6 at 5f compared to 0/4 over further.
On his last start he did well to finish 1.25 lengths behind the winner at Goodwood despite racing on the slowest part of the track. A return to the minimum distance, chasing a fast pace should be ideal. At 12/1(Boylesports) he looks the standout bet.
