Wyndham Championship Tips: Ryan Moore

A previous winner of the tournament; his stats have significantly improved since reverting to his old putter.

Ryan Moore returns to the scene of his 2009 victory and looks a good bet at 50/1 (Bet365) to record his second tour win. With four top-10 finishes this year he’s been getting close only for his putting to let him down.

At the Wells Fargo, Moore reverted to the putter he used for the majority of the 2011 season and the improvements have been significant. Prior to the Wells Fargo he had been averaging 0.261 strokes gained putting, which would rank him 151st on tour. Since then he is averaging 0.789 strokes gained, which would put him second.

The Wyndham Championship usually goes to the best putter and it seems Ryan Moore has found his mojo just in time. With the rest of his game in good shape, a hot putter could seal him victory at 50/1 with Bet365. Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-five finish.
