Wyndham Championship Tips: Ken Duke

Keeps knocking on the door with six top-10 finishes this year. Should enjoy a tournament that is often decided on putting.

After turning pro back in 1994, it has taken the best part of 18 years for Ken Duke to finally make his mark on the PGA Tour. The 43-year-old is a great example of how dedication and persistence can pay off.

Sitting 39th in the FedExCup standings, he will comfortably retain his card and progress to the playoffs later in the year. But before then there is the small matter of a maiden PGA Tour victory to focus on.

Duke has come close on numerous occasions this year with six top-10 finishes. Ranked 17th on tour for strokes gained putting, it is tournaments like the Wyndham Championship that provide the best opportunities. A relatively modest hitter, he should be suited by the par-70 course at Sedgefield CC if it turns into a putting competition.

At 100/1 (Betfred) he looks cracking each-way value with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
