US Open Tips: Billy Horschel

One of the form players on tour; has a win under his belt and five further top-10 finishes.

Having suffered a couple of difficult years on tour Billy Horschel is reaping the rewards from a change in attitude. An emotional player, he’s managed to stay much more level headed on the golf course and that’s translated into positive results.

Up until the Players Championship, Horschel made 23 consecutive cuts, which was the largest active streak on tour. However, the 26-year-old isn’t satisfied with just cashing cheques each week.

After having a meltdown in the final round of the Arnold Palmer where he shot an 85, he learned from his mistakes and finished T2-T3-T9-1 in his next four tournaments, culminating with victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Ranked fourth in the FedEx Cup standings, Horschel is one of the form players on tour and at 100/1 (William Hill) he is a lively each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
