The Memorial Tournament Tips: K.J. Choi
Winner in 2007 and has a further seven top-25 finishes at Muirfield Village from 13 starts.
The Memorial Tournament is one that favours experience, with no rookie ever having won the event. This favours KJ Choi who should know the course inside out; this will be his 14th visit to Muirfield Village having missed the cut only once.
A winner of the event in 2007, the South Korean has finished inside the top-25 on a further seven occasions. With such a formidable record, you’d think he’d be near the top of the betting but he is in fact a triple figure price.
Part of the reason is his supposed lack of form but the 43-year-old has made 10/13 cuts on tour with two top-ten finishes, the same number as he had in the entire 2012 season.
At 100/1 (Boylesports), KJ Choi looks a cracking each-way bet considering his formidable course form.
