Memorial Tips: Will MacKenzie
Enjoying a terrific season even taking into account a run of missed cuts. Finished in the top-15 twice at Muirfield Village.
It doesn’t take long for bookmakers to shunt out a player’s price as we can see with Will MacKenzie.
The 39-year-old started the season on fire with five top-10 finishes in 13 starts. It has gone a bit flat since, with four consecutive missed cuts but he’s not become a bad golfer overnight.
At 200/1 we need just a couple of positives before we strike a bet and there are plenty with regards MacKenzie.
He is 24th in the FedEx Cup, 24th in adjusted scoring and 6th in the tour’s all-around ranking.
His record at Muirfield Village is also excellent with a T11 in 2007 and T10 in 2009.
Regardless of recent missed cuts, it is still a career year for MacKenzie and he’s a cracking each-way bet at 200/1 (Coral) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
