The Greenbrier Classic Golf Tips: Woody Austin

Woody Austin In Hot Form

Topped the putting stats in Canada and finished T4 at The Greenbrier last year.

With finishes of T30-T18-T6 in his last three starts Woody Austin is on an upwards trend. A player who relies on his strong putting, it is a good sign that the flat stick is warming up.

Last week at the Canadian Open Woody Austin ranked T1 for putts per round as the confidence returned. The timing could not be any better for a player who finished T4 at The Greenbrier last year.

The veteran American has now broken 70 in nine of his last twelve rounds, a purple patch that if continuing could see him go close at big odds.

Back him each way for ¼ the odds for a top five finish.

As a slight aside, people might remember Woody Austin from one of the most comical golf moments of recent memory, when he found water at the President’s Cup. Let us hope he can stay dry this weekend.
