Portugal Masters Tips: Ross Fisher
Runner-up last year and averages 68.59 per round on the Oceanico Victoria course.
Ross Fisher only returned to the European Tour in May but in a truncated season he has already shown what a class golfer he is. In 13 starts, he’s made 12 cuts with three top-10 finishes.
It seems only a matter of time before he adds to his four European Tour victories and there is a strong chance it could happen in the Algarve this week.
In six starts at the Portugal Masters, he’s finished 7-3-MC-27-27-2 averaging an impressive 68.59 shots per round.
He missed the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Links by one stroke, but that is a funny tournament which often turns into a putting competition. Prior to that, he finished in the top-five at the KLM Open and European Masters.
An in-form player on a course he loves; Ross Fisher is hard to resist at 22/1 (Boylesports). Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for at top-5 finish.
