Portugal Masters Tips: Robert-Jan Derksen
Has six top-20s in seven visits and finished T11 last week at the Dunhill despite a less than favourable draw.
At the start of the year, Robert-Jan Derksen proclaimed that 2014 would be his last on tour. Time is running out on his career but there might yet be a fairytale ending.
The Dutchman has been playing some excellent golf in the last couple of months, with T11 finishes at the Dunhill Links Championship and KLM Open. Good news, in advance of his favourite tournament of the year.
In seven visits to the Oceanico Victoria Golf Course, Derksen has finished T12-T16-T12-T17-T44-T16-T8.
Such a strong course record warrants respect and at 70/1 (Bet365), he is a cracking each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
