Phoenix Open Tips: Chez Reavie
Record at his home course is poor but arrives in excellent form with a T8-T12 start to 2017.
Chez Reavie has a long association with TPC Scottsdale, the host of the Phoenix Open. He went to Arizona State University, lives in Scottsdale and was even a sign boy at the Phoenix Open!
Unfortunately, his record in this event as a professional isn’t particularly good; in eight starts he’s finished MC-58-MC-MC-41-45-MC-MC. Perhaps the pressure of a ‘home’ game is too much but he can scarcely have arrived in better form.
Now seemingly over his wrist injury he’s playing some terrific golf and is 6/6 in cuts made this season. So far in 2017 he’s finished T8-T12 and took last week off to prepare for this event.
A terrific iron player, he is currently 21st in adjusted scoring average and ready to improve his moderate record at the Phoenix Open. Back him each-way at 125/1 with Boylesports and get 1/5 odds for a top-6 finish.
