Kokrak Can Power To Victory

Phoenix Open Tips: Kokrak Can Power To Victory

Finished T25 last week despite shooting 80 in the final round. His length is a big asset around TPC Scottsdale.

Jason Kokrak is still looking for his first PGA Tour win in 108 starts but he has the game to follow the trend of recent big-hitting winners.

The 30-year-old finished last season ranked 11th in driving distance and his power is a big advantage around TPC Scottsdale. In his last two visits, he has finished T15-T40 but the 2014 was perhaps one that got away as he was well placed going into the final round.

So far in the wrap-around season he has three top-25 finishes from seven starts but he was going well at Torrey Pines until the wind blew him off-course on Sunday/Monday. His final round of 80 meant he had to settle for a T25.

On a difficult course, Kokrak managed to hit 55% of fairways and 67% of greens, which suggests his game is in good shape. He is an excellent each-way bet at 200/1 (Betfred).
