Malaysian Open Tips: Scott Hend
Back in familiar surrounds, he can deliver on the glimpses of promise he showed in the Gulf.
Having tipped Scott Hend twice during the Desert Swing he deserves on final chance on his ‘home’ patch.
As discussed previously, Hend seems to have elevated his game to a new level with his victory in Hong Kong, his sixth on the Asian Tour.
The big hitting Australian finished T31 in Abu Dhabi and although he missed the cut in Qatar and Dubai there were moments in each tournament when he looked like hanging around for the weekend.
Hend has two top-20 finishes in the last three editions of the Malaysian Open and if he can keep a few of his booming drives on the fairway then he could go well at 125/1 (Stan James) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
