Malaysian Open Tips: Lee Westwood
Won the event last year and played the course before Christmas when T13 at the CIMB Classic.
Lee Westwood is an obvious selection for the Malaysian Open but a bit like Rory McIlroy last week sometimes you cannot get away from the favourite.
Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club must feel like home for the Worksop-born golfer. He won the event last year and played on the course as recently as November, in the PGA Tour’s CIMB Classic.
For whatever reason, the course is a good fit for Westwood and after his strong showing in Dubai he is a worthy favourite.
The 41-year-old has won a phenomenal 13 times in Asia and in a weak field, 13/2 (Stan James) is a fair each-way bet.
