Joburg Open Tips: Paul Dunne
Highest finish of 2016 came at Royal Johannesburg (ninth) and has the ability to win at this level.
Paul Dunne recorded his best result (ninth) of the 2016 season at the Joburg Open and returns a much more experienced player.
As I’ve written before, the Irishman is one of the up and coming stars of the European Tour and especially in weaker company like this, he should make his presence felt.
Already this season he’s got within touching distance of the lead on numerous occasions, such as the Alfred Dunhill, Hong Kong Open and Abu Dhabi Championship.
Dunne’s struggled to convert good starts and has only broken 70 once on Sunday this season but the more times he gets into position, the more comfortable he becomes. On a course that we knows suits his game, he is a cracking bet at 50/1 (Skybet) with 1/4 odds for a top-6 finish.
