Brasil Champions Trends

The Web.com Tour stays in South America for its fourth event of the season. We look at the trends of past winners.

The Brasil Champions is one of the richest events on the Web.com Tour, now in its third year at Sao Paulo Golf Club.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of history we are drawing our trends from just two tournaments. Benjamin Alvarado won in 2013 shooting 19-under, Jon Curran blitzed his way round in 25-under last year. Going low is therefore imperative.

Top-60 on tour for birdie average
In such a low scoring event you have to make birdies, four of the top five finishers in 2013 ranked inside the top-60 for this metric.
Top-60 par 3 scoring
The Sao Paulo Golf Club is peculiar in that there are five par-3s on the course. Playing them well is critical. Four of the top six last year ranked inside the top-60 for this metric.

Players that fit both trends:
Patrick Rodgers 20/1
Jamie Lovemark 22/1
Andrew Landry 33/1
Martin Piller 33/1
Steve Marino 33/1
Harold Varner 35/1
