BMW PGA Championship Tips: Simon Khan

Winner in 2010 and has four further top-25 finishes at Wentworth. Arrives in reasonable form with a T6 in Qatar the highlight of the year.

One of the most striking trends of recent BMW PGA Championship winners are they all had good course form. Each of the last five winners had a top-10 at Wentworth in the three years that preceded their victory.

The course has a history of producing repeat winners and at 200/1 the bookmakers are wrong to overlook 2010 champion Simon Khan.

Khan was a surprise winner of the event three years ago, but looking at his course form it shouldn’t have been a complete shock. His record at Wentworth is: 24-MC-2-24-10-MC-1-MC-27.

When he makes the cut, he finishes high up the leaderboard and there is good reason to expect another bold showing from the 40-year-old.

He finished T6 at the Qatar Masters and was T19 going into the final round in Malaysia before a combination of bad weather and a poor third round saw him slip down the field.

Considering he excellent record at the course he rates a good each-way bet at 200/1 (Bet365) with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
