Barracuda Championship: Will Wilcox

Aggressive golfer who should be suited by a scoring system that favours birdies over bogeys. Shot a 59 on the Web.com Tour last year.

Will Wilcox is making his Barracuda Championship debut but the modified Stableford format should suit his game.

He’s an aggressive golfer and is ranked 18th on tour for the ‘Going For The Green’ metric, which is the percentage of times a player goes for the green with the first shot on a par 4 or second on a par 5.

His ability to go low shouldn’t be underestimated either, he shot a final round 59 in last year’s Utah Championship on the Web.com Tour.

The 28-year-old still has work to do to secure his card for next season but a T4 at the Greenbrier Classic three starts back suggests he’s warming to the task.

At 80/1 (Bet365) he is a cracking each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
