No Panic Button

In his 200th grand prix, Jenson Button prevailed in changeable conditions. But at 66/1 he still ranks as an outsider for the championship.

As so often happens, the wet/dry track at the Hungaroring generated a thrilling contest. Jenson Button once again proved what a master he is in changeable conditions to win his second race of the season.

Unmoved by the excitement in Hungary the betting for the drivers’ championship remains unaltered. With a second place finish, Sebastian Vettel extended his lead in the standings to 85 points over teammate Mark Webber. The German stays at 1/10 to retain his title.

It was an opportunity missed for his rivals, particularly Lewis Hamilton who led for large parts of the race. With only eight races remaining it is a tall order for the 2009 champion to win the title and his odds reflect this at 16/1.
