Hamilton Rejuvenated in Germany

Lewis Hamilton and McLaren put their troubles behind them with a superb win at the Nurburgring.

In cold conditions, the Nurburgring served up an intense battle between Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber. It was a first win for Hamilton since China and the first time Sebastian Vettel was outside the top two all season.

The reigning world champion had a weekend to forget at his home grand prix. Looking out of sorts all race, he will be pleased that his lead in the standings was reduced by only three points. The young German is 1/9 to retain his drivers’ title.

Ferrari’s revival continues with Alonso’s second place, the Spaniard is 12/1 to win the driver’s championship. All plaudits go to Hamilton however, a faultless drive showed the Brit at his best. He has been cut to 20/1 for the title having been 40/1 at the start of the weekend.
