Aussie Rules At Silverstone

Daniel Ricciardo is a big price considering he’s already won once this year; whilst Hamilton is opposable because of his poor record in the race.

This weekend the British GP takes places at Silverstone but it has proved to be a poor race for the home brigade.

gbr rivals beaten

Lewis Hamilton is the only British winner in the last ten years and that was in 2008. On average Hamilton beats 9% fewer rivals at Silverstone compared to his seasonal average. Jenson Button fairs even worse, performing 10% below his average.

As often is the case in F1 some of the shortest prices are the most attractive. Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel are a fair price at 4/11 and 2/5 (Ladbrokes) to finish in the top-6.

Whilst Nico Hulkenburg is big at 1/3 (Skybet) to finish in the points, something he has done in every race this season.

For those looking at more attractive odds I think Daniel Riccairdo is overpriced at 28/1 (Bet365) in the outright market.

The young Australian is enjoying an excellent season and already has one win under his belt. He also drives Silverstone particularly well; last year he finished eighth in the Toro Rosso, his third best finish of the season.
