German Grand Prix Betting

After his victory at Silverstone, Fernando Alonso is 3/1 to double up at the Nürburgring.

It wasn’t just Fernando Alonso’s win in the British Grand Prix but the manner of victory that surprised bookmakers. Having regularly been a 7/1+ chance most weekends, the Spaniard is now 3/1 to win the German Grand Prix.  Ferrari seem to have closed the gap on Red Bull, although Felipe Massa is still a 33/1 chance to win at the Nurburgring.

Sebastian Vettel heads the market at 23/20 as he looks to score at his home grand prix. Of the six German drivers in the field, he is the comfortable favourite with Nico Rosberg 66/1 and Michael Schumacher 125/1 big outsiders.

With the track nestling in the Eifel mountains inclement weather is not uncommon. If we get changeable conditions on Sunday don’t rule out the likes of Lewis Hamilton 7/1 and Jenson Button 14/1, both proven performers in difficult circumstances.
