Early Leader Alonso 10/1 for Drivers' Championship

Alonso defying expectation.

A rain-affected Grand Prix produced shock results in Malaysia.

Ferrari at least temporarily silenced their critics when Fernando Alonso pulled off a shock win in the Malaysian Grand Prix. The two-time champion is 10/1 (Skybet) to still be top of the pile come the end of the year. In a race full of surprises, the Spaniard was followed home by Sergio Perez - the Sauber driver is now quoted at 40/1 (PaddyPower) to finish in the top three in the Drivers’ Championship.

Despite a disappointing day in the rain, the McLarens still lead the betting. Lewis Hamilton is 2/1 favourite (Bet365) after finishing third while Jenson Button is 13/5 (Sportingbet) after coming 14th. The Red Bulls continue to labour and defending champion Sebastian Vettel is now out to 7/2 (BetVictor) to retain his crown.
