Under 2.5 Goals Market Acca

We have picked three matches where we expect goals to be at a premium this weekend.

We’ve identified three games from the top two divisions of English football which are likely to be low scoring affairs. It’s an 11/2 (BetVictor) prospect that all three of the following see under 2.5 goals in the match.

Tottenham v Sunderland (21/20):

The bookies see this as the ‘long shot’ of our three selections and that’s because Spurs are expected to win with something to spare. But, Sunderland have only conceded 3 goals in their last 5 away outings and 13 of their 21 league fixtures in 2014-15 have seen under 2.5 goals. The hosts may also be jaded due to their punishing fixture list.

Sheffield Wednesday v Bolton (7/10):

The Owls are the Villa of the Championship, only more successful! Their league fixtures have seen 11 goals fewer than the next meanest but a great defence means they are challenging for the play-offs. 19 out of 25 Wednesday matches have seen under 2.5 goals and visitors Bolton are unlikely to start a new trend with 7 of their last 9 in all competitions going the same way.

Wolves v Blackpool (17/20):

Poor old Blackpool have looked doomed from Day 1 but they are showing admirable grit lately, particularly defensively. Their last four scores have been 1-0, 0-1, 1-1 and 0-1 so they are trending well for our bet. Furthermore, 4 of Wolves’s last 5 second tier clashes have witnessed 2 goals or fewer so we’re just after more of the same.
