Tottenham v West Ham Tip

A low scoring home win, a stalemate or an upset could pay out for us.

With the quality at Tottenham’s disposal the bookies aren’t hesitating to make them heavy favourites in this London derby, and rightly so. However, the further assumption that they will win handsomely can be questioned and perhaps exploited.

StanJames go as long as 10/3 on there being under 1.5 goals in the match and that’s a huge price considering what we have seen from these two sides so far this season.

West Ham and Spurs sit 18th and 19th in the ‘total goals’ league table respectively. The Hammers have witnessed nine goals in six fixtures (1.5 goals per game) while the Lilywhites have seen just eight in six outings (1.33 goals per game).

Of course the big difference is that AVB’s boys have only conceded two so far in 2013-14 whereas Allardyce’s troops have picked the ball out of their net five times. But interestingly West Ham have been very resilient on their travels in defence. Their three away games have ended 0-0, 0-0 and a 1-0 loss to Hull last time out.

Looking at all this you wonder if the Hammers can score, but Tottenham also look unlikely to run amok.
