Swansea v Middlesbrough Tip
This Australian is on course for his best goalscoring season for Tony Mowbray.
Swansea deservedly go into this quarter final as favourites (4/6 PaddyPower) but Middlesbrough should not be dismissed too lightly as they ride high in the Championship.
Remarkably, the Riverside club have been drawn away for a 12th consecutive time in the league cup so they won’t be daunted by another unfamiliar dressing room. Scott McDonald scored the winner in the last round at the Stadium of Light and he’s a bargain at 10/3 (Coral) to score anytime on Wednesday night.
The Swans showed a chink in their armour when they conceded four at home to Norwich at the weekend and the former Celtic striker can take advantage of any more mistakes here.
The 29-year-old has bagged 8 goals in 12 appearances in all competitions in 2012-13. With three in his last three in the Championship, McDonald is liable to cause a stir at the Liberty Stadium given half a chance.
