Crystal Palace v Middlesbrough Preview
Palace have had a fortnight to prepare for the game and expect Allardyce to have used the time wisely.
Sam Allardyce hired a sports psychologist to help Crystal Palace players overcome the fear of playing at Selhurst Park but the biggest healer might be time.
It’s three weeks since Palace succumbed to Sunderland and that is a long time in football. Allarydce has also enjoyed two weeks to prepare for the game against Middlesbrough, whilst their opponents were involved in the cup last weekend.
This small break could be exactly what Palace need to reset their season and their home form could be crucial; five of their last seven home games are against relegation rivals.
Middlesbrough haven’t won in the league since early December and have also been dragged into a relegation battle. It might be a nervous encounter but a home win at 23/20 (William Hill) is a shade big.
