Sunderland v Man Utd Tip

Two teams in their own relative crises. Sharing the spoils would feel much better for the hosts than the champions.

Despite all their recent woes, Manchester United are nothing longer than 4/6 (Ladbrokes) to win at the Stadium of Light and that must be too short.

Sunderland are already much improved since Di Canio left even if that may not be apparent looking at the league table. The Black Cats overcame Peterborough 2-0 in Kevin Ball’s first game in charge before last Sunday’s 3-1 home defeat against Liverpool.

However, the most interesting stat to come from that match was the 26 shots that Sunderland had on goal; that was their most in any league game since December 2011.

A similar level of creativity could be problematic for United who have lost three of their first six league clashes. Clean sheets are at a premium for both teams so I like the look of a score draw at best odds of 9/2 with Boylesports.
