Sunderland v Man City Tip
The champions, more often than not, are getting the job done in the second half.
This is a fixture that has hurt Manchester City recently with Sunderland winning 1-0 for two years running. The injury-time winner on New Year’s Day 2012 looked being like a defining moment in the title race but this time I could see it being decided late in the visitors’ favour.
The champions have rarely looking imperious this campaign with results generally being better than performances. A tight first half looks on the cards here with the Black Cats boosted by two victories in their last three outings.
However, quality has a habit of telling in the end and City must be starting to believe that late goals are going to fall their way. They took to the 92th minute to see off a plucky Reading at the Etihad last time out and it wasn’t the first such instance. The light blues have scored 11 goals in the final 15 minutes of matches, a Premier League high.
