Southampton v Man Utd Tips: Both Teams To Score
Southampton were prolific at St. Mary’s last season. United were prolific everywhere.
The televised Sunday game promises to be a lively affair between Southampton and Manchester United. Last season the Saints were leading scorers in the Championship, finding the net in 21/23 home games. United were equally prolific, scoring 89 goals and netting in 35/38 league games.
Occasionally two attacking teams can cancel each other out but the difference in quality should lead to a high scoring game. If United score first, Southampton will be forced to chase the game, but as Fulham proved last weekend, there are frailties in Sir Alex Ferguson’s team. A combination of injuries and an attacking formation leaves United vulnerable at the back.
Both teams to score at 5/6 (Ladbrokes) looks the value bet in what could be an open game.
