Southampton v Fulham: Scoreline Tip
These teams have already been involved in a few 5 goal thrillers in 2012-13 between them.
Having already tipped a few goals in this match, we might as well take the value a little further by sticking half a point on an adventurous scoreline prediction. Southampton are a best price 33/1 (StanJames) to win 3-2 and I don’t see why not.
The Saints have been on the wrong end of this scoreline twice against both Manchester clubs but they showed their capabilities at this level in their last league fixture at St Mary’s. On that occasion Villa were demolished 4-1 after a stirring second half performance. Fulham are better than that but everyone always has concerns about them on their travels.
The Cottagers may have won 2-1 at Wigan recently but the three goals conceded at West Ham is sadly still a more typical away day for Martin Jol. If Rickie Lambert continues his electrifying early season form then it could be another frustrating afternoon for the Dutchman.
