Real Madrid v Galatasaray Tip

The Turks are the ones with something to play for and the former Chelsea star is having more shots with every Champions League appearance he makes this season.

Real Madrid are all but assured of qualification as Group B winners which means that a number of Carlo Ancelotti’s biggest stars will be missing on Wednesday. Anybody with even the slightest niggle is set to get the night off with that list including Ronaldo and Khedira, while Modric is suspended.

A relaxed Madrid could easily become a sloppy Madrid and Galatasaray do have players who can take advantage of that. None more so than Didier Drogba who is still enjoying an Indian summer to his career in the Turkish capital. The former Chelsea talisman looks like a bargain at best odds of 9/2 (Betfred) in the anytime goalscorer market.

The Ivorian has found the net twice in three Champions League starts, including the opener in the 2-2 away draw with Juventus. That was the start of a recent run of five goals in six games across all competitions for Drogba. The old man will be relishing every potential last opportunity to shine on the big stage and could be worth backing here.
