QPR v Norwich Tip

In Harry Redknapp’s masterplan for getting QPR towards 40 points one thing is certain. He will have earmarked this home game with Norwich as absolutely must-win. The Hoops are a best price 21/20 (Betfred) to take the spoils but on recent evidence I would certainly favour the 27/10 Coral are offering on QPR to win to nil.

The Loftus Road club have emerged from a tricky January fixture list with renewed hope for the dogfight ahead. Unbeaten in four league matches, the real success is that the run included showdowns with Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City. Three members of the top four, and remarkably, not one of them could get the ball past Julio Cesar.

The Brazilian international has made a sensational start to his career in west London after leaving Inter Milan in the summer. Having denied some of the Premier League’s sharpest shooters in recent weeks, he will be eyeing another clean sheet against the Canaries.

Norwich are without a victory in seven top flight outings and aren’t looking too hot at either end of the park. They conceded five at Anfield on their last away trip while they have scored only once in their last four matches in all competitions.

After a successful transfer window, Redknapp will be quietly confident of snaring a crucial three points here. His team must have a great chance of doing that as the only goalscorers on the day.
