United Stutter

Man Utd v Leciester Tips: United Stutter

United’s flaws have been exposed in the last fortnight and even though Leicester will regress this season they are still a top-10 side.

United ended their sticky spell with a win over Northampton but beating a League 1 side should be a formality and it hardly distracts from the issues Jose Mourinho must solve. Early wins over Southampton and Hull hoodwinked us into thinking the LVG era was gone and forgotten, instead problems persist.

Leicester have been inconsistent so far but there have been comfortable wins against Club Brugge and Burnley and they seem to be getting into their stride. It is virtually impossible they repeat the heroics of last season but their underlying shot metrics have them as at least a top-10 side.

After a couple of recent defeats United are ranked seventh in my adjusted shots ratio, with a 4.6 shot superiority per game. For the same metric Leicester are =10th; therefore apart from home field advantage there isn’t a huge gap between the sides. Certainly not to the extent of 9/2 (Betfred) Leicester win.
