The Unlikely Entertainers

Both these teams impressed last time out and it could be livelier than most are predicting.

The bookies, and from what i’ve seen most of the experts, have decided that this one will be dreary and cagey but I disagree; 7/2 looks to me like a great price for over 3.5 goals in the match.

Admittedly, Hull matches have not tended to be thrillers this season but QPR’s 12 away fixtures have produced 35 goals at an average of 2.92 per outing. Also, we have the rare occurrence of both these sides arriving off the back of a victory so the attacking players on the pitch will surely be more confident than usual.

I think people have forgotten how convincing QPR were 11 days ago when they ran out 2-0 winners at Sunderland for their first away victory. A change of manager has provided a fresh impetus and the return of top scorer Charlie Austin to the fold can surely only help the visitors’ cause.

Similarly, the Tigers defeated Villa 2-0 last time out with two strikers - Jelavic and deadline day signing N’Doye - finding the net.

It’s therefore tough to pick a winner but we don’t need to; instead let’s take the value in backing a bit of a goal spree.
