5th Dec 2014 | Premier League

The Saturday Acca

We're backing Steve Bruce to pull out a result along with a couple of Championship form horses.

We’re backing Hull to build on their morale-boosting draw at Goodison Park by beating West Brom. Further wins for Brentford and Birmingham comprise a treble available at best odds of 17/1 with BetVictor.

Hull (29/20) (h) to beat WBA:

The Tigers have some momentum at last having scrapped for a point at Everton and the return of club record signing Abel Hernandez after paternity leave will further boost the hosts. Steve Bruce retains the support of Hull fans but Alan Irvine still has to prove himself in the opposing dugout. The Baggies have lost 4 on the bounce, scoring just once.

Brentford (2/1) (a) to beat Huddersfield:

The odds on the away win are crazy when you consider the form book. The Bees have won five on the spin, including 4-0 last week against Wolves, to reach 2nd in the table. Meanwhile, Town are winless in 4, are struggling for goals and find themselves 19th, just 3 places above the drop zone.

Birmingham (31/20) to beat Blackpool:

Poor old Blackpool have only tasted victory once in 20 outings as they plummet towards League 1 with ever increasing certainty. The Seasiders have improved of late but they seemingly face the Blues at the wrong time who are resurgent; new boss Gary Rowett is unbeaten (W3 D2) and can now call upon the re-signed Nikola Zigic up front.
