Next Palace Manager Odds
Chris Coleman was briefly 50/1 to take over at Selhurst Park last week but now he is in to 2/1.
Tony Pulis has been the frontrunner in the betting to be next Crystal Palace manager for several days now but his price has lengthened since the weekend; he is currently a best price 6/4 (WilliamHill) to take the helm.
The former Stoke man has never been relegated, but reports suggest that a potential sticking point is wage demands that far exceed the salary Ian Holloway was on.
Hot on his heels is the current Welsh national team boss Chris Coleman, at 2/1 with Bet365. The 43-year-old played 154 games for Palace between 1991-95 and went on to have a pretty successful spell in the dugout at Fulham.
He seems to most closely match co-chairman Steve Parish’s criteria of hopefully finding someone with an association to the club and top flight managerial experience.
Martin O’Neill appears to the other serious contender for the post; the former Celtic, Villa and Sunderland boss is nothing longer than 6/1 with Coral.
Long shots that can’t be entirely ruled out are Alan Curbishley (20/1 Skybet), who has expressed interest, and former Eagles boss Neil Warnock (25/1 WilliamHill).
