24th Dec 2013 | Premier League

Hull City v Man Utd Tip

The hosts have only lost one of eight home games while the visitors are missing key men.

Manchester United may be showings signs of improvement but their trip to the KC Stadium on Boxing Day promises to be a real test. Hull have only been beaten there once in the league all season and are 7/5 (Bet365) to avoid defeat again.

The team news will be a worry for David Moyes who is likely to be without Danny Welbeck who was justing finding his touch after three goals in the last two league games. With Van Persie, Carrick and Fellaini all likely to be sidelined as well, the champions’ goal threat will surely be diminished.

That lack of cutting edge could mean that Steve Bruce’s men can maintain the best home defensive record in the Premier League. The Tigers have only conceded three on their own patch in eight outings and one of those was in the 3-1 victory over current league leaders Liverpool.

The Tigers should have nothing to fear, having already reached 20 points by Christmas, they are comfortably mid-table. The double chance market is therefore an obvious port of call with home-draw offered up at a very competitive price.
