Eagles Eye Up The Saints
Palace have won five away games in a row, including at St Mary's Stadium in the FA Cup, while Southampton can't buy a goal.
Crystal Palace broke the deadlock in the 41st minute at Upton Park on Saturday before running out 3-1 winners. This meant we narrowly missed out on our ‘half-time: Draw - full-time: Palace’ 15/2 shot, but we were very much heading along the right lines.
On Tuesday we have the chance to go again by backing Palace to make it six away wins in a row at best odds of 5/1 with WilliamHill. The bookies have priced up with the season as a whole in mind, but Southampton are seriously gun-shy at the moment.
The Saints have now found the net only once in their last five outings as Ronald Koeman’s Champions League hopes have all but evaporated. It’s not that the south coast club aren’t creating chances, particularly at home, but Graziano Pelle is enduring something of a personal nightmare.
Without his goals, Southampton are over-reliant on Sadio Mane, and the Eagles could take advantage at a pretty big price.
