Crystal Palace v Cardiff: Draw No Bet

Palace’s defence is worthy of a mid-table team whereas Cardiff keep offering up scoring opportunities.

At the end of October we remarked how Crystal Palace might not be doomed to relegation. They didn’t get the results their early season form merited and it was only after the transfer window shut that things turned sour.

The departure of Ian Holloway seems to have righted the ship and relegation no longer looks a formality with the Eagles just three points from safety.

Crystal Palace’s strength is their defence; they have conceded just one goal in their last four games and they have the 11th best defence in the league when it comes to preventing the opposition from shooting.

On Saturday, they face a Cardiff team with a shaky defence who are just four points better off.

The Bluebirds concede on average 17.8 shots per game (only Fulham are worse) and before the midweek fixtures they had allowed 6.3 shots on target per game, the worst in the league.

A home game against Cardiff presents Crystal Palace with an excellent winning opportunity but for added insurance I recommend backing Palace at 10/11 Bet365 in the draw no bet market.
