Swansea have proven that having 'nothing' to play for can lead to improved performances in some scenarios.
Odds of 6/1 on Swansea City look outrageous when you consider they have won their last four Premier League home games, including Liverpool and Chelsea, and that they thumped West Ham 4-1 at Upton Park last time out.
However, then you have to factor in that the new boss Guidolin, who has earned a new contract, is set to rest four key players ahead of Euro 2016 including Ashley Williams and Gylfi Sigurdsson. Manchester United cannot be happy about that.
And that’s the bigger story here. City only need a point to secure Champions League football over their bitter rivals and with Sergio Aguero back in scintillating form, it’s hard to see that as unlikely.
