Norwich v Aston Villa Tip

Hard to split these opponents but a boring stalemate is also unlikely.

The early kick-off on Saturday ought to be a competitive contest between two pretty evenly matches sides.

Norwich have been tough to beat at Carrow Road for a little while now having lost only one of their last 11 league outings in East Anglia (W4 D6 L1). That sole loss came to the Villains in May after Agbonlahor scored in the final minute. But the Canaries strengthened over the summer and this match could see striker Gary Hooper finally make his debut.

Having said this, I struggle to envisage Paul Lambert’s current team losing on his latest return to City either; they are playing too well to slump to a fourth straight defeat. Villa have been unlucky with the fixture list so far in the extreme.

This leaves the most likely outcome as a draw (12/5 Betfred) but I think we can’t hedge our bets by specifically taking the score draw at best odds of 7/2 with Boylesports. Villa have gone 26 league games without a clean sheet, but they have also found the net in 12 of their last 14.
