Newcastle v Fulham Tip
The Bulgarian has 5 goals in his last 4 while the Magpies could suffer a European hangover.
Fulham can legitimately lay claim to making one of the signings of the season when they secured the services of Dimitar Berbatov back in August. The former Spurs and Manchester United star has been a regular contributor for the Cottagers and a big reason why they sit comfortably in mid-table.
The former Bulgarian international has now scored in four consecutive Premier League matches, finding the net five times in that run. Even more remarkably, he has broken the deadlock in all four of those games helping Fulham to remain unbeaten for two months. The 32-year-old therefore looks a steal at best odds of 15/2 (WilliamHill) in the first goalscorer market here.
Newcastle have a poor recent record agains the Londoners (W1 D1 L5) and have only kept four clean sheets all season. Alan Pardew is likely to be without key defenders again on Sunday; Coloccini, Haidara and Debuchy are struggling while Tiote’s midfield steel is also likely to be missing. Berbatov is in red-hot form and liable to take full advantage against a side just returning from a tough trip to Portugal.
