Man Utd Drift After Defeat

United are now 8/11 to win the Premier League after their odds were pushed out on the back of a defeat to Chelsea.

Manchester United have been pushed out to 8/11 (from 1/2) in the Premier League betting after defeat at Stamford Bridge. After playing one of their most coherent halves of football all season, United went into the break 1-0 up thanks to Wayne Rooney.

The second half was all Chelsea, a first goal for David Luiz and a Frank Lampard penalty sealing the win. The result moves Chelsea into the top four and the bookmakers are convinced it will get the Blues a Champions League spot. Blue Square are betting 1/7 that Chelsea finish in the top four.

Defeat wasn’t the only bad news for United. Defender Nemanja Vidic was sent off after a second bookable offence and will miss the next match away to Liverpool. William Hill have eased Ferguson’s men for that encounter and are 13/8 (from 6/4) to win at Anfield.
