Man Utd 9/4 after Opening Defeat at Everton

Moyes off to a dream start.

We take a look at the latest Premier League movers and shakers in the betting. All odds given are best available on the market.

Manchester City and Chelsea were the only members of the so-called big six to win their first Premier League matches of the season as Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all faltered.

United are now a best price of 9/4 (PaddyPower) for the title after their 1-0 loss at Goodison Park, while neighbours City are 6/5 (Skybet) favourites. Chelsea have contracted to 5/1 (Coral) simply by beating Wigan, while the Gunners are 20/1 (StanJames) after a stalemate with Sunderland.

At the other end Norwich City (5/4 Betfred) were swiftly made favourites for the drop after a 5-0 humbling at Fulham, while QPR were cut to 7/2 (Ladbrokes) after suffering the same fate at home to Swansea.

The humiliated managers find themselves under immediate pressure with Mark Hughes 10/1 (bodog) to be next manager out in the top flight. He is only behind Nigel Adkins in the betting (9/2 Ladbrokes); the Southampton boss came in for some criticism for leaving star man Rickie Lambert on the bench for much of the game against the champions. Norwich’s Chris Hughton is 14/1 (bodog) for the chop.
