Man City v Leicester Betting Preview

After a spirited draw at the Walkers Stadium there is nothing for Eriksson and his team to fear at Eastlands tonight.

Tonight’s live ESPN game pits former master and pupil against each other and Mancini has backed his claim that he wants to get to Wembley by giving his fringe player a start.

“David Silva will probably play against Leicester if his knee is okay,” said Mancini.

“Patrick Vieira will probably play. He is an important member of our squad. He is a good player. He has experience.

“But we also have Jerome [Boateng], James [Milner], David [Silva], Jo and Lescott. We have other players who we can win this game. We want to win.”

Although good players it is almost the identical team that struggled in the first leg where they were fortunate to get a replay. Leicester City have continued their good form with a draw at the weekend and are now four unbeaten in all competitions. After a terrible start to their season the Foxes are in mid-table safety and don’t need to rest their best players.

There is no reason to fear Man City at Eastlands, it has been their away form in the Premier League, almost an identical record to their home form, that has been the reason for their success. Of 12 Premier League home games this season they have won only 7 and scored 18, which includes four last week. It’s unlikely Leicester City will be steam rolled and the 9/1 Leicester win with William Hill is tempting but with a +1 goal head start on the handicap we also get the draw on our side and that is the play.
