Lower Expectations At The Etihad
A goal-fest is the default expectation at the Etihad but Palace are yet to concede more than one goal per game away from home this season.
The game between Man City and Crystal Palace throws up a brilliant conundrum. City have scored the most home goals in the Premier League (29) whereas Palace have conceded the fewest away from home (8) so what’s more important defence or attack?
The answer is neither – it’s all about probability and the odds on under 2.5 goals are wrong.
In ten away games Crystal Palace are yet to concede more than one goal per game and without a recognised striker (or at least one that can score) keeping things tight is their best chance of getting points at the moment.
Watford and Everton have both kept the scoreline to under 2.5 goals at the Etihad this season and Palace are no worse than either of them. Under 2.5 goals at 6/4 (BetVictor) is therefore the play.
