Liverpool v Newcastle Tip
The bookies continue to throw up value in taking on the Reds.
I don’t apologise for sounding like a broken record in opposing Liverpool all the time, particularly after we’ve already been paid off at 6/1 doing just that this week. Today, back on league duty, Newcastle can be the next side to rock the boat at Anfield.
Yet again we see a side who seem to be better than the Reds at massive outsider prices. The Geordies finished last season 13 points ahead of their hosts for today and they’re back ahead of them again in 2012-13. The likes of Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa will always be a threat and it’s tempting to taken the 21/4 being served up by BetVictor on an away win.
However, let’s take the insurance of the double chance market as a safer option. Newcastle-Draw is a 7/5 shot with WilliamHill. The Toon Army have drawn 75% of their away matches so far this campaign while Liverpool have only won 20% of their home games. You put those statistics together and the 8/13 (Betfred) on the home victory looks laughable.
